On Thursday 13th June, our partners Helmut Peissl and Simon Olipitz of Commit (Austria), and Michael Nicolai of Radio Corax, in Germany, were presenting the EMAC project to adult educators and policy makers in Viena, Austria, as part of the EPALE conference in Austria. For some of the participants, this was the first contact with community radios and the work they do at European, regional and local level. The participants were particularly interested in the Media Literacy and Ethical approaches to media content creation by community radio activists. During the session they heard about the EMAC project and were able to experience one of the activities (Power Flower).

The importance of political education is particularly evident in times of economic and social change. The OeAD’s EPALE conference on June 13 highlighted the design of adult education and adult education courses.
